Work info

James mainly uses Logic Pro X and Pro Tools 10 to work on his projects. His style of composition is heavily influenced by Japanese animation BGMs, game OSTs and the J-Rock/Pop scene for example, artistes like Elements Garden and X Japan.

Music is like a channel for James to pour his emotions into and to express himself. Compositions here by him are mostly for background music for visual novels, games, muzak and animation.

While not doing music, James can be found practicing drums, playing games, watching anime or reading manga(comics).

James Lau Sijie(Bio)

Born in 1996, James is diagnosed with Arthrogryposis since birth.

However, he can do just about anything like a normal person,

with a few restrictions, that is.

James started his musical adventure at 7,

starting with basic keyboard skills and music theory from primary school. After a period of time, he stopped learning music and at the age of 12, started to learn how to play the drum kit.

With average PSLE score, James was admitted into Hougang secondary

and during secondary 2, he joined the guitar ensemble and picked up some guitar skills.

After graduating, James decided to further his field of studies in music and audio and now, he is a Republic Polytechnic, Sonic arts student graduate from year 2016 and since year 1, has started to develop interest in composing and arranging.
